Interstate Mining Compact Commission Annual Meeting

Background
The Interstate Mining Compact Commission (IMCC), a multi-state governmental organization representing the natural resource and environmental protection interests of its 24 member states, holds an Annual Meeting in the spring of the year to discuss issues and concerns of the member states, to meet with federal agency representatives, to hear from various speakers, and to present its annual national reclamation and mineral education awards.
Topics Covered
Several IMCC Standing Committees will meet to discuss a variety of topics including abandoned mine lands, OSM's budget and state Title IV and V grants, significant OSM rulemakings, as well as pending studies and other state/federal initiatives in the mining arena.
