Interstate Mining Compact Commission Mid-Year Meeting

DATES AND LOCATION:
November 18 - 19, 2008 - Crowne Plaza Downtown Hotel -- St. Louis, MO
Background:
The Interstate Mining Compact Commission (IMCC), a multi-state governmental organization representing the natural resource and environmental protection interests of its 24 member states, holds a Mid-Year Meeting in the fall of the year to discuss issues and concerns of the member states and to meet with federal agency representatives.
Topics Covered:
Several IMCC Standing Committees will meet to discuss a variety of topics including abandoned mine lands, OSM's budget and state Title IV and V grants, significant OSM rulemakings, as well as pending studies and other state/federal initiatives in the mining arena.
Target Audience:
State and Federal regulators and program administrators.
